ENGAGE

Expanded Learning + Education

Creating safe spaces for young people to engage and connect beyond school

We offer opportunities for enrichment that act as a bridge between young people, families, and schools.

We support local efforts to improve assistance to students and broaden the base of support for education in a safe, constructive environment before and after school. Our vision is to empower youth as leaders who contribute to the social and economic betterment of their community.

Through YA’s expanded learning, hundreds of students are served every day. Youth gain access to youth leadership development, college and career support, homework assistance, meals and enriching programs where they can feel connected to a caring and diverse community to lead a healthy life and expand their vision of their future.

Supporting students through expanded learning opportunities that build confidence, self-sufficiency, academic success, and social responsibility.

About

Youth Alliance summer programs offer youth social and emotional wellbeing, academic support, and leadership development. Our summer programs ensure that students receive the resources needed no matter their economic status.

SUMMER LEARNING AT GILROY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

Summer Learning supports students through expanded learning opportunities that build confidence, self-sufficiency, academic success, and social responsibility. The goal is to help students be college and career ready with the 21st Century Skills to succeed in life. Summer Learning consists of programming to jump-start learning recovery for students in general, and specifically for youth from priority populations who have been impacted by trauma in their lives or experiencing disproportionate hardships due to homelessness, chronic absenteeism, and language barriers.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Youth only registered within the Gilroy Unified School District are eligible to apply. A registration form will become available prior to the program start date. Check back soon!
